(From November 2018 through March 2019, I wrote one poem a day for 100 days at my Facebook page. While I get my act together to return to ranking things, I will be reprinting the poems here. I’m currently writing another 100 poems. Rankings will resume soon)
Pretend you’ve wrote a weekly sitcom show
And each week need to invent something new.
Where are your trashy people going to go?
What are your trashy people going to do?
Next door, a fellow writer labors on –
Her goal roughly identical to yours.
How soon original ideas are gone!
You’ve now exhausted both your mental stores.
The deadline doesn’t care that you’ve been drained
Of every idea you’ve had – good or great.
Or that your love of writing has been strained
By all the lousy scripts you’ve wrote of late.
Experience the painful living hell
For writers of the show “Saved by the Bell “
