For Xanadu did E.L.O.
A lively soundtrack album make
That several artists sang upon
Olivia Newton John
Caused your groove thang to shake
And though I never saw that flick
There’s YouTube clips I often click
Don Bluth’s murals come to life on Venice Beach
A debate with Zeus on Mount Olympus
Gene Kelly’s final dream is just out of reach
A forgotten lead actor tries to impress us
But oh! when John was a box office star
And topped the charts with the title song
A highlight of her concert repertoire
The film inspired that tune in its muse
The movie’s forgotten but the song’s life is long
