Poem #22 of 100 – Oreos Again

(From November 2018 through March 2019, I wrote one poem a day for 100 days at my Facebook page. While I get my act together to return to ranking things, I will be reprinting the poems here. I’m currently writing another 100 poems. Rankings will resume soon)

Twist two oreos
Leave the icing on one side
Throw away side two

Make a thick sandwich
With the remaining cookies
Extra thick frosting

Purchase double stuff
Repeat the process with them
Make quadruple stuff

I ask “why stop there?”
Double the quadruple stuff
Wider than your mouth

Eat all that and then begin
Your new life with insulin

(A haiku sonnet, originally published here on December 21, 2018)
