Poem #26 of 100 – New Meaning to High Efficiency

(From November 2018 through March 2019, I wrote one poem a day for 100 days at my Facebook page. While I get my act together to return to ranking things, I will be reprinting the poems here. I’m currently writing another 100 poems. Rankings will resume soon)

My good friend said to me
“I think you will agree
The best poems, you see,
Have one rhyme and not three.”
I said I don’t feel free
With one indefinitely
I prefer a rhyming spree
Variety brings me glee.
She said I’m bourgeoisie
Which was a guarentee
That I was a wannabe
She mocked my fine goatee
And I felt like a flea
So said I unto she
“I will take a knee
And bow to your decree
One rhyme it shall be!”
She exclaimed “whoopee!”
And became my devotee
She called me her marquis
Well, that’s hyperbole
